When I arrived at the Shekhawat household after finishing my work, my family had arrived an hour earlier, I was surrounded by a mix of emotions but not showing on my face. My parents, my chacha and chachi, as well as my strict but loving dadi, were all with me. They hadn't met Myra yet since they were away on a trip, but today was the day they'd get to know her. I knew they would adore Myra, especially my dadi, who had a keen eye for authenticity and grace.
As we settled in, I noticed Roma, Myra's cousin, dressed in a provocative outfit that seemed more suited for a club than a family gathering. Her attempts to impress were as obvious as they were distasteful. My dadi leaned into me and whispered, "Well done for not bringing a daughter-in-law like her. Otherwise, I'd have to take matters into my own hands." I couldn't help but smile at her candidness.
